The Point is home to darts, a charity whose mission is to create art with people in Doncaster to improve life, learning and health. darts is an award winning team of artists, makers, musicians, performers and support staff who collaborate to design and deliver creative programmes that inspire learning, build good emotional health and strengthen professional practice for people of all ages who live, work or learn in the Doncaster borough.

CEO

The Chief Executive has overall responsibility for providing leadership and direction to the organisation with the goal of achieving darts’ mission and objectives; implementing the strategic goals of the organisation; developing good relationships with key stakeholders and; in partnership with the Board, ensure the good governance of the organisation.

Assistant Director (adults)

The Assistant Director (Adults) is a member of the Senior Team and takes lead responsibility for the strategic development and management of the adults strands of darts’ work. The post holder shares a lead responsibility for the development of the style and direction of artistic practice; the quality of the work including its impact; and the development of the workforce (Creative Team). The Assistant Director (Adults) contributes to the strategic leadership of the company, assisting and supporting the CEO.

Core artists

Core artists plan, deliver and evaluate high quality arts activity. They develop and manage projects in liaison with the Arts Development team. They contribute tothe quality, style and direction of artistic practice across the company. They contribute to the development and growth of darts and The Point.

Arts & Health
Project Manager

The Arts and Health Project Manager manages the delivery of the Arts and Health programme within the agreed ambitions for the area of work and for the company and within budget requirements.

They work closely with the partners involved in delivery – darts (Doncaster Community Arts), Cast and Heritage Doncaster to ensure the specified outcomes for the programme.

Freelance
Artist Team

darts freelance artist team are specialists who work with us on a regular basis. From drama practitioners, musicians, visual artists, designers, dancers they bring expertise, creativity and skills to a wide range of programmes.

Assistant Director (children)

The Assistant Director is a member of the Senior Team.

They take lead responsibility for the strategic development and management of the Children and Young people strand of darts’ work.

They take shared lead responsibility for the development of the style and direction of artistic practice; the quality of the work including its impact; and the development of the workforce.

They contribute to the strategic leadership of the company, assisting and supporting CEO – and deputising when required.

Programmes Manager

The Programmes Manager takes responsibility for the development, management and delivery of specified programmes - within the agreed ambitions for the company and within budget requirements.

They ensure the quality, style, direction and impacts of artistic delivery and contribute to the strategic direction and creative development of the company

Building Coordinator

The Building Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of The Point on a day to day basis. They co-ordinate the day to day management and maintenance of the building including reception cover; cleaning; presentation; maintenance contacts and visits; repairs and upkeep; security; insurance and licences. 

They work with and support the Reception Team to ensure continuous smooth front of house operation, ensuring a warm welcome for people to the building. 

Receptionists

Welcome visitors to the building, manage telephone and email enquiries and coordinates room bookings.

Head of Fundraising and Development

The Head of Fundraising and Development is a member of the Senior Team and is responsible for raising funds to a target, primarily by producing successful applications to Trusts, Foundations, Institutions and Public grant making bodies.  

The Head of Fundraising and Development is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with grant funders and will manage all aspects of the grant including writing proposals, renewal and stewardship.  

The Head of Fundraising and Development contributes to the strategic leadership of the company, assisting and supporting the CEO.

Arts Administrator

The Arts Administrators assist the work of the arts development team, co-ordinating and facilitating the practical delivery of darts’ programmes of arts activity at The Point and outreach. 

Project Coordinators 

The Participation Coordinator facilitates the running of sessions on a day to day basis to ensure safety and continuity of experience for participants.

 

They develop, enhance and extend the experience of participants to maximise the impact of the work with them.

Housekeeping

Cleans and maintain the premises to a high standard. To assist with the security of the premises and to assist with the setting up of rooms.
